Every intuitive reading with the pendulum needs to begin with the practitioner feeling fully relaxed and open to ancestral and divine spirit energy. Thus the class begins with a guided meditation, a letting go of any negative residue from just being human and surviving in modern society. Then, because observation is the basis of all learning, students will learn to link common sense with magical ingenuity as they observe their pendulums move, spin or turn in their own hands, seemingly on the tool's own volition. The instructor will also present guidelines, precautions, and safeguards for practicing Pallomancy with care and precision.

Pallomancy is a form of pendulum divination used for connecting with spirit, for furthering one's spiritual growth, for foreseeing the future and for making the wisest decisions, even as it will improve ones own health. Pallomancy is similar to dowsing, using the pendulum to find buried gemstones, metals, oil or water and many of the techniques presented here will carry over to dowsing. However the primary focus of this class will be on the metaphysical benefits of Pallomancy, and not on the physical benefits of dowsing.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Tami Jackson (SunTiger) provides intuitive readings (including Nordic rune castings and tarot readings) in person at Crescent Moon Gifts on Mondays, noon-6 (the store is closed Memorial Day). She also works by email here at SunTiger MOJO and at LivePerson under the "Mystic SunTiger" name. With a bachelor's in communications, she is also nationally certified and state licensed as both a massage therapist and hypnotherapist. A Reiki Master, she is the proud author of a Seattle-based vampire novel, "Ravena & The Resurrected." She has also had many short articles published in in a wide variety of newspapers and magazines. INTRODUCTION TO Pallomancy (Pendulum Divination) Course Outline...

WHAT IS A PENDULUM:
Various styles
Obvious and not-so-obvious uses
Students make a simple one in class

PENDULUM USES:
* DIVINATION (e.g., foretelling the future; obtaining spiritual truths, knowing what direction to drive when lost)
* DOWSING (e.g., finding buried metals, gem stones, water and more)
* HEALING, chakra and shamanic clearing and muscle/allergy testing (topic presented; explored further in ongoing classes)

IMPORTANCE OF USING DISCERNMENT:
* Analyzing the information you receive
* Knowing with whom you are speaking
* Always remaining objective and keeping your eyes wide open
* Check for accuracy (friends, scientific approach, etc.)

INTUITIVE COMMUNICATION from the subconscious or Spirit?

SAFETY TIPS
* Know who or what you are talking to through your pendulum
* No big decisions made at onset of learning
* Honor the pendulum as a powerful divination tool
* Never give up your personal decision making power (never surrender your own will by becoming addicted to pendulum answers)
